Characler drawing differs with the subject. It is not simply about body proportion. Depending on whether it is manga or an illustration, for example, the same character will have very different features. Compare the different drawings of the same character below, especially looking at the ways the eyes and hands have been drawn. Do you notice how some features have been drawn in detail while others have been omitted.
