If the hand is simplified, still consider the shape carefully. The hands are too big in relation to the wrists.

It is difficult to decipher exactly what this drawing means. At a glance, it doesn't look as if this character is about to jump up energetically (as the revised version looks as if she is about to do). There is something odd about the design. But morę than that, the . pose was a wrong choice in the first place. A jump is a momentary pose that lasts for a split second. It is what is called a moving picture in animation (a still picture between a move from one pose to the next). Therefore when a beginner decides on this kind of pose for a drawing exercise, it is highly likely that that the result will look unstable.
