tion and reconstruction of such buildings are quite urgent and reąuire the use of new and morę reliable design Solutions and technologies.
BelNIIS Institute RUE has developed technical solution [1,2] for repair and update of old-construction buildings, that allows with minimum cost price of construction and erection works to enhance strength and reliability meeting reąuirements of existing Norms and provide both free layout of the inside space and, through partial change of facades’ plastic art, form modern appearance and architectural expressiveness of buildings. It is achieved through substitution of inside bearing walls and wooden ceilings for building-in incomplete r/concrete frame having fiat precast and cast-in-situ ceiling disks of hollow-core slabs into existing bulk of building, and building on additional stories. Such solution has been realized in the historie center of Mogilev (Republic of Belarus) during reconstruction of a 5-storied dwelling building with addition of the 6th storey. In this building, concrete frame with middle row columns and fiat precast and cast-in-situ ceilings of hollow-core slabs was built in the volume formed after dis-mantling wooden ceilings and inside walls down to the level of existing r/concrete ceilings over the basement, while preserving external walls of ceram-ic bricks, foundation structures and staircase walls (Figurę 1).

Column space along the building amounted to 5.04...6.24 m, distance from axis of the row of columns to external walls was 4.25...5.25 m. To sustain concen-trated load the existing rubble concrete continuous footings in places of central-ly loaded cast-in-situ frame columns’ support were reinforced by r/concrete casings widened at the bottom and arranged on side faces. On internal brick wali sections at the basement level and in cast-in-situ ceiling above it to pass columns through openings were madę (Fig.2), and in zones were this wali abuts
