CHEATS
Cheat files are stored in the CHEATS directory and have the same name as the romset they
patch, ending in .dat.
The structure is as follows: (ex: vsav.dat)

Default=0 Default state.
The numbers in the left must be consecutive (starting in 0). Same with the cheat numbers.
Addresses are the address in the 68000 memory map. You can only access ROM (0-0x3fffff) and
RAM (0xFF0000-0xFFFFFF for CPS, 0x100000-0x10FFFF for Neogeo). For neogeo, the game rom
can't be accessed.
You can specify up to 32 pairs of address-value per cheat.

Starting with version 1.92, there are some improvements to the cheat files. These improvements are:
Conditional cheats: You can specify conditions that Nebula will evaluate to know if it has to
apply the chat or not. Conditions are used as follows:
0=On,ff5009<10,ff5009,99,
That means that the cheat to the right of the condition (till a new condition
appears) will be applied if the value in ff5009 is less than 10.
The available condition operators are the usual C ones: == (equal),
!= (not equal), >,<,>=,<=.
The check value of the condition must be in Hexadecimal.
If a condition is not true, then nebula will skip the cheats written till a new
condition appears.
If there are 2 consecutive conditions, they are logically ANDed.
The cheats to the left of the first condition are always applied.
Indirect addressing: Some games use dynamic RAM memory allocation (Neogeo) so
the memory addresses aren't always the same, but they store the
current address in a fixed memory variable. To apply a cheat in that
kind of memory addresses you need to use the Indirect addressing, instead
of specifying an absolute address for a cheat (say 104050) you must use
@address+offset, the effective cheat address is computed by readint the
value At address and then adding offset to that value. (@103ee0+50,)
Indirect addresses can't be used for contitions.
These kind of cheats are very very difficult to find using the nebula cheater.
Tips on creating cheats and regions:
Some games (new ones) have the region stored in the bytes C0-C4 in ROM area (the exact
byte depends on the game).
For cheat programs programmers:
Nebula has a generic cheat connection that can be used to make your own cheating
programs (cheat apply and cheat finding). This is the interface explanation:
There is a shared memory region called NEBULAIPC where nebula will allocate the
game RAM (64Kb) and other info. This area has the following structure:

You must create a shared mapping with that name (NEBULAIPC).

After that is created, wait for nebula to create the End of Frame notify Event (called NEBULAVBLANK).

That event will be signaled when nebula finishes emulating 1 frame,
just before applying cheats, so you just need to wait in your main loop
till the event gets signaled:

And then you can use the IPC->RAM array to find/apply values.
Remember to check if nebula is running (IPC->NebulaRun).
