BUILDING THE CRUSHER

With cm existing model for improved crushing efficiency we quickly moved to replicate the process by building a model of our own to test and analyze. Using basie materials we wanted to get an idea of the complexity of assembly and degree of functionality. Surpisingly for such a simple design the mounting of the grinding cylinder to the crank shaft proved to be morę challenging than expected. Ali materials with the exception of the hinges (an easily substitutable element) are available to our Kenyan partners.

Addition of an abrasive surface to the roller would be the next step in the process. Before we went through the time to develop this prototype further we wanted to step back and acess if this is even a viable solution.
