Summary-
OPTIMAL LOCATION OF ADDITION AL SUPPORTS IN THE CASE OF A RIGID-PLASTIC BEAM LOADED IMPULSIVELY
An impulsively loaded rigid-plastic bcam resting on n+2 supports is considered. Two supports fix theends of the beam. Three optimization criteriaare formulated. Optimal location of the additional supports is found under condition that permanent deflection of the beam attains the minimal value.
The minimum volume problem is studied in the case of constrained deflections. It is found that the additional supports have the same optimal locations in the all considered cases.
