Approaches to teaching and learning
The teacher/lecturer will reąuire to supplement the student information sheets by - direct teaching, discussion, use of OHPs, additional handouts, reference to the existing Higher Computing Studies notes, appropriate URLs on the Internet, resources on an intranet and reference to textbooks/periodicals/videos where appropriate.
Not all the terminology used in the student information sheets will be fully explained. The teacher/lecturer will be expected to explain the terminology during classroom activities.
These materials concentrate on the new content of Higher Computing (Intemetworking). They cover concepts which were either not present or not studied in detail in the old Higher Computing Studies - Communications and Networks optional topie.
