The article presents results of empirical research conducted in financial company. The organization in ąuestion has shown itself to be based on hierarchical culture which - ac-cording to the literaturę - is not conductive to achieving great project results. This, however, does not seem to impede the creation of a cohesive integrated project management system i.e. achieving high level of project management maturity.
