This Release Notice identifies the changes made with the release 2.0 version of the Alcatel-
Lucent VPLS course and exam from the Alcatel-Lucent Service Routing Certification
Program.

2 Summary of Course Changes
" Added basic review of Ethernet and MPLS
" Added description and illustrations of common VPLS topologies such as ring, partial
mesh and metro to metro
" Added details of MTU and its impact on VPLS components such as SAP/SDP
" Reduced coverage of loop control and Rapid Spanning Tree
" More material on redundancy including multi-chassis LAG and active/standby
pseudowires
" Increased discussion of scalability issues and added coverage of Provider Backbone
Bridging (PBB)
" Added coverage of OAM features such as 802.3ah and 802.1ag
