Abstract
Wind energy becomes morę important in the process of the electric energy production. Currently there are morę than 120 GW of power installed in the wind power plants. During the last years a large interest of wind energy can be observed, also in Poland.
Wind speed measurements are not sufficient enough for unambiguous specifying the optimal wind farm localization. Other factors that are not connected with the wind but specifying the economic success of the investment, are also very important. Every project of a wind power plant reąuires individual optimization of it’s localization.
The dissertation presents the econometric model of a wind power plant working in the power system and depending not only on the market surroundings but on legislative regulations as well. The proposed model enables taking into consideration different scenarios during the exploitation of the wind farm, e. g. changes of the electric energy prices, selling the electric energy on the open power market, changes of the income connected with the green certificates, the energy losses during the production process and randomized appearance of different failures, repairs, etc.
On the basis of the econometric model it has been implemented the dedicated software: Farma Wiatrowa 2.5. It enables to carry out not only multi-variant analysis of the efficiency for the wind power plant in a 25 years time projection but risk analysis using the Monte Carlo Method, as well. Moreover, there were madę researches it he Thesis about the possibilities of applying used wind turbines in the Polish market. The influence of the wind turbines’ number on the financial result was also examined.
The wind power plant model and the software Farma Wiatrowa 2.5 enable taking a rational decision about a localization for a wind power plant in the Polish economical conditions. It also may help during the exploitation of a wind power plant working in the power system.
