The current issue of “National Security Studies” is smaller in size than previously, sińce adjustments necessary for new editorial standards - a bi-yearly. Nonetheless, be-cause of the articles and topics covered it is surely as rich as possible, and as interesting as it always has been. The emphasis this time is centered on changes in a military and interrelated civilian dimensions, currently taking place in Poland. This narrow emphasis is madę from a legał perspective, sociological, and the analytical one, considering the chosen indiyidual systems of defense and also generał subjects of interests.
In this volume we present two major parts plus books reviews and as always, a chronicie of events at the Institute of Organization and Management. The first part gathers articles describing the civil-military and technological aspects of changes in the Polish Army. The second part is madę up of articles within sociological, socio--political, economic and other proveniences pertaining to security. The fourteen article combined in this volume were written by the authors associated with the Polish academic circles and institutions, where the problem of security is of the inner most importance in subject analysis. We can notice, that the new themes, new problems within a field of security, are growing, hence in a futurę we will accept even morę authors and their analyses.
Of course, not only military aspects of security are discussed in this issue, however those will be in a futurę considered with morę depth because of actual oc-currences in world politics and importance for security matters, and functioning of tangible and intangible aspects of State security and structural defense of a country. Associated with the above in importance are the decision processes, the technological Solutions, and others pertaining to security system of a State. Among those that might be of interest are new systems Solutions in telecommunication, information Sciences, as well as information analysis for security institutions, and finally plannistic and theoretical issues, touching both the individual and holistic aspects of security theories, and correlated politics.
Therefore, we are aiming towards the educated response and analysis of phe-nomenon relating to the newest problems in security studies, but not forgetting about its theoretical and methodological dimensions or the new perspectives for the older topics. And because of that, we are open for cooperation with different authors of scientific and academic persuasions, as well as with the professionals, whose knowledge of the newest trends and security Solutions can be presented to a reader for a common educational goal. Hopefully, this philosophy can be seen in this 7th volume of “National Security Studies”. Enjoy the reading!
