Sterał hundred Carbondale children will be treated lo a Chnstmas party Fnday at ihe Student Center in connection with the Inter-Greek Council sponsored Operat ton Merty Chnstmas The party given by university fratemiue* and somnties will take place in the ballrooms from 1:30 p m to 3 p m Children invited from nursery schooLs and schools for Ihe men taiły and physically handicapped will be entertained by Big Bird and the Cookie Monster from the popular children s televisicn show Sesame .Street. The show. schedułed for 145 p m will feature Punch and Ji'i'y. puppet characters from the past The secood show al 2 30 pm will evolve around Meucan folkiore Both shows will have a Chnstmas flavor.

Also featured at the party will be the

Bubhłe Factory. a large inflatable plastic balloon. Jan McHughes. graduate student in speech Communications, will take the children on a tour outside the bubble and fhrn create a Chnstmas environment on the instde The children will be able lo walk through the bubble which combines entertainment with an educational espenence

The ballrooms will bedecorateu with a Chnstmas theme by members o( the Greek organizations Punch and cookies will be served and the singmg of Chnstmas ca rola Chnstmas
