SUBJECT: Perkins Valve Covers
Perkins has changed from an aluminum valve cover to a composite(plastic) valve cover on their 1004-
4 cylinder engines, Hyster P/N s 370664 and 377323. Hyster engine P/N 1343305 already has the
composite valve cover.
Aluminum valve cover, service with the following parts:
Gasket P/N 1306179 Oil Cap Seal P/N 1306181
Oil Cap Seal P/N 1306180
Composite valve cover, service with the following parts:
Gasket P/N 1390147 O-ring P/N 1380247
Cap P/N 1380246 Seal P/N 1371712
Valve Cover Replacement (Replaces with new composite cover)
S70-120XL & S135-155XL, Engine P/N 370664
 Replace aluminum valve cover P/N 1306177 with new valve cover assembly P/N 1390146.(Includes
necessary gaskets and seals.)
H70-110XL & H135-155XL, Engine P/N 377323
 Replace aluminum valve cover P/N 1315495 with new valve cover assembly P/N 1390148.(Includes
necessary gaskets and seals.)
Top Gasket Sets  Engine P/N s 370664, 377323, and 1343305
For engine S/N U600869W and prior use Top Gasket Set P/N 1371731.
For engine S/N U600870W and later use Top Gasket Set P/N 1391225.
INTERCHANGEABILITY: PARTS ARE DIRECTLY INTERCHANGEABLE.
