REMOVAL - REFITTING LOWER COVER

REMOVAL



Remove the shield under the power train
.


Drain
:


the engine



Remove
:


THE ANCILLARY DRIVE BELT



Disconnect the compressor electrical supply
.


Move aside the air conditioning compressor (1) without opening the system
.


Disconnect the connector from the power steering circuit pressure sensor
.


Move aside the power steering pipe (2)
.


Unclip and separate the harness (3)
.


Remove the bolt (4)
.


Disconnect the pipe (5)
.


Remove
:


the 3 bolts (6)



Remove the 2 bolts (7) + The dipstick tube
.

IMPERATIVE :
remove the exhaust pipe to avoid damaging the flexible hose; this cannot withstand the torsion, traction or bending tensions caused by the removal of one of the power train supports
.


Remove the bolt (8)
.


Tilt the engine forwards
.


Remove
:


the bolts (9) and (10)



the casing (11)

REFITTING



Clean the seal faces
.


Coat the sump gasket surface with a bead of AUTO JOINT OR sealing compound
.


Fit the sump (11)
.


Fit : The 7 bolts (9) (HM 6 X 110)
.


Fit : The 19 bolts (10) (HM 6 X 25)
.


Tighten the bolts (9), (10) to 0.1 daN.m
.


Fit : The 3 bolts (6)
.


Tightening torque : 0.1 da.Nm
.


Slacken the bolts (6)
.


Tighten the bolts (9), (10) to 0.8 daN.m
.


Tighten the bolts (6) to 6 daN.m
.


Continue the fitting operations in the reverse order to removal
.


Air conditioning compressor tightening torque (1) : 2.5 da.Nm
.

IMPERATIVE :
always refill with new oil
.
