Introduction
Google + is the new kid on the block when it comes to social media sites. It's
Google's answer to Facebook.
When G+ started a lot of folks thought that it would not be able to compete
with Facebook.
They were wrong!
G+ is hot! It's much easier to use than Facebook. And, best of all, business
owners are just starting to hear about it.
If you're in offline marketing, you definitely want to be able to offer the
service of setting up a G+ page to your clients.
Right now, I charge $300 for a G+ business page set up. I think I can get
more, too! That's just for the set up! There are huge possibilities when it
comes to ongoing social media marketing with G+.
In this short report, I'm going to show you how to set up a business G+
page. Then, I'm going to show you how to actually get people into the
business's circles. (If you don't know what I meant by that, it's okay. You
will very soon!)
Ready to get going?

How to Build a Google + Page for a Business
Get your client a new Google account. Right now, G+ doesn't have the ability
to create admins like Facebook has. I'm sure that will change. But at the
moment, it's easier to do this through a new account, instead of having to
use your client's personal account. But, you can do this through your client's
personal account, also if you want.
Next, log in to your client's Google account and go here:
https://plus.google.com/pages/create
You'll see the following:
Or from your stream on the main account (like your personal account) you'll
see this on the right hand side:

Next, choose the appropriate category on the left. In most cases this will
be Local Business or Place .
Once you do that, you'll see a place to enter the phone number of the
business. Do that. You'll see the following, if the business already has a
Google Places listing:

(Note: I've erased some stuff, because these are real pictures of a real
listing I was creating.)
If the business doesn't already have a Google Places listing, you can click
Not found? and it will walk you through adding the business to Google.
Once you're done with that, you'll see the following:

Complete the basic info about the business, select the category, and agree
to Google's terms. Click Create .
Next, we get to customize the public profile of the business.
You'll need a tagline, and also an image, which has to be more or less square.
What I do is to get my graphics guy to create a new square image from the
business's logo or header on their blog.
You'll upload that picture to here:

After this, go through and finish up the business's profile. You do that on
this page, which you'll see next, much in the same way you would do this on a
Facebook page.

(Again, I've blanked out some details for privacy.)
The more stuff you put in that's relevant, the better. Also, you'll want to
make your copy keyword rich!
In addition, just like with a Google Places listing or any other thing like this,
photos and videos go a long way.

Recurring Income
Okay, so you've got the page up. Now comes the really cool part.
Most business owners are clueless about how to promote their page and how
to make the page an income source for them.
They need your help with this!
There are two things you need to do.
One: Get them a good URL. Unlike Facebook, where you can get a vanity
URL, G+ doesn't currently support this. Why? Who knows? A flaw in the
system, if you ask me.
You can get something that approaches a vanity URL, however, for G+, here:
http://gplus.to/
This is basically a URL shortener for G+. And, it's what I'm using so my
clients can have URL's they can put on business cards, etc.
Okay, so we have a decent looking URL, now we need to so some social media
marketing.
Just as you have friends on Facebook, you have circles in G+. A circle is a
group of folks who you are following, and on their accounts, following you!
Of course, for a business, you want people following them, right?
So, now that you've got the business's page set up, let's get some people to
circle your business.

Fortunately, that's really easy to do.
If your business owner already has a Google account, then Google + will
suggest people for you to circle. If not, just start by finding people who live
in the area.
You can do that through the search feature on G+.
To do that, follow these easy steps:
Find the search bar:
Most of the businesses I deal with are local in nature, so I would build them
a circle based on location, not on type of business.
A dentist in Atlanta, needs an Atlanta circle, not a dentist circle!
So, type your location into the search box, and hit Enter.
You'll see something like this:

This appears at the top of your Stream. Click View all .
Then you'll see a whole list of possibilities.

Hover over the name, and then hover over the little box that says Add to
circles . You'll get a pull down menu with check boxes in it of your circles.
Like this:

Put the person in whatever circle you created.
Or create a new circle.
Now these folks are in your circle. That means you'll get their stuff in your
Stream, but you want it to work the other way around.
You have to give them a reason to add you!
What I do is to put interesting stuff in my Stream at least once a day.
Kind of like building a Twitter following except way easier!
If you don't have anything interesting at hand, you can always use
StumbleUpon for suggestions!
Add a few people each day and as time goes on, a few of them will add you
back.
Clean out the ones who don't add you back periodically.
I use this Chrome Addon to do that...Uncircle Uncirclers + .
This is so easy, and you can actually get paid for this!

Finding Clients
Oddly, enough, this is not hard to do!
You're in luck because Google + is in its infancy. But...it's growing much,
much faster than Facebook did.
So, right now, businesses know about Google +, they know they need it, they
just don't know what it is.
Here's what I'm doing to find more G+ business.
Just click the link, and you'll see a video that will show you exactly how to
target the right businesses!
http://screencast.com/t/3TOdxM2w
Once you get a few potential clients to target, you'll need to contact them.
That's easy!
You can do this with email, direct mail (a letter or report), etc. Personally,
I've been shooting quick Jing videos and turning those into DVD's and just
mailing those out!
Works like a champ! No real selling required!

Conclusion
I hope this short report has whetted your appetite! G+ is so incredibly hot
right now. Offering just the set up service for $300 to $400 a pop can add
a lot to your bottom line just over the next few months! And, with the
possibilities of recurring income! Wowsah!
I always give out my email address with all my products. If you have any
questions, etc, you can catch me at wso@leecoleonline.com .
Also, if you can't get me there, you can always use my office number: 404-
923-0650.
(Email is much, much faster! Just sayin'! :) )
