Firmware upgrade procedure:
1) Connect charger with Tab & Tab with PC via USB cable.
2) Open RKBatchTool.exe, application window is in Chinese. Change language to English by selecting option from bottom left icon.
4) Select “FW Path" to update.img file.
5) Hold “M" (Menu key) on tablet and Reset it via pin hole.
6) Windows will prompt you to install the device. Provide driver location path to USB driver > x86 / amd64 > Vista/Win7/Xp depending on OS of your PC.
7) After driver installation is finished, it will be shown as RK29 device inside My Computer > Manage > Devices.
8) Check 1st icon under Connected Devices, if it turns Green the device is ready to upgrade and driver has been installed properly, otherwise install USB driver again.
8) Keep holding Menu key till you see Green icon under connected devices. Then release the M key.
9) Click on “Upgrade" icon on bottom left side. Device upgrade will start, Green icon will turn to blinking Yellow.
9) Wait for the download process to finish "Success<1> Fail<0>".
10) Click "Exit" and disconnect USB cable.
11) Tab will autocalibrate, press "OK".It will display Launcher after few minutes.
