Introduction
Welcome back :&, and I emphasize the word welcome
because in no way should you be starting this course from
this eBook. Make sure you ve read the Traffic Authority
Manual before carrying on here.
Why?
Because in this section we re going to be focusing on
applying the traffic strategy taught in the Traffic Authority
Manual for the sole purpose of building a list. Everything is
similar, it s just I m going to tailor the strategy solely to
building an email list.
So why build an email list?
It s simple. Because it s an effective method to consistently
market to in the aim to obviously make money.
In my opinion, if you re not interested in building an email list,
you re making a big mistake.
There s huge value in building an email list in any niche,
because you then have access to a database of potential
customers to market too.
In the simplest of terms, you can send an email& and make
money.
But I m not here to walk you through every strategy you
need to take to make your email list profitable. Because lets
face it, to perfect your email marketing it s an in depth
subject which needs detailed training. I m here today to
show you how you can tailor the Traffic Authority strategy to
generate an email list of potential customers within your
target niche.

Right?
Where To Start
Guys, I m going to cover the basics here still. As of course it s
important for us to know exactly where to start.
1. Sign Up To An Email Marketing Platform  The obvious
starting point, and there s plenty out there. I d
recommend Aweber, Mailchimp and GetResponse. All
have great support if you have any issues with your
accounts, and there are hundreds (if not thousands) of
tutorials and guides out there for each provider.
2. Create A List  If you re aiming to target a variety of
niches in the one account, try to name your list after
the niche or something similar. This helps with
organization. You can also create lists for each channel
we target.
3. Create An Opt In Page  This is the key point. You want
to create an opt in page which converts well. An opt in
page simply includes your sign up box which will
capture an email once someone  opts in (signs up.)
We know that when we use the strategy taught in
Traffic Authority, we re going to have a channel
recommending our opt in page to their large base of
subscribers, leading to us receiving a lot of targeted
traffic. But if that traffic doesn t convert then you re
simply not going to receive as many emails as
expected. I ve found that giving something away in
return of their email works extremely well, such as a free
video or a small eBook on the niche.
4. Follow The 4 Steps  When we ve signed up to an email
platform, created a list, created an opt in page to send
the visitors too, we re then going to use the step by step
process taught in the Traffic Authority Manual to get a
channel within our niche to promote our opt in page.
Once a channel has added our promotion to one of

their videos, we re going to see targeted traffic hitting
our opt in page, leading to email sign ups. We can then
of course market various offers to these subscribers
once we ve gained their email&
Now that is it a nutshell, but the 4th stage is what we re going
to focus more on in this section. Because as noted
throughout the manual, the way we approach these
YouTube authorities differs when our sole purpose is to build
an email list.
The Approach
Nothing changes for the first two stages. We still gather
keywords the same way, and we also search for YouTube
authorities the same way& but what are we going to offer
them?
We don t have a physical product to give to them in return
of them recommending their subscribers to sign up at your
opt in page, and we don t have anything of real value to
give to them.
Therefore we need to consider what it is we could offer the
owner of the channel in return of them telling their
subscribers to go and sign up at our opt in page&
You re lucky here, because using this strategy to build an
email list is actually relatively easy to do for free. I mean,
normally we have to give something to the channel owner
(the authority) for them to promote our offer, it s incentive&
But when it comes to building an email list, we can focus on
the positioning of our request to get them to not even think
about asking for something in return.
It s awesome.
In fact, this is probably the only plan of attack included in this
course that allows you to get them to promote your offer
without offering any incentive whatsoever.

I mean nothing in return.
No cost.
Nothing.
Here s what works for me, and what will work for you.
Positioning
You want to know how we can get them to promote our
offer without giving them anything in return right?
Straight away? (You re impatient like me then)
Here goes.
Well the way we position our request here is hugely
important. We need to really focus on making it clear that
their subscribers, their audience is really going to benefit from
adding their email on your opt in page. Do they get
something really cool for simply entering their email in for
free? Is it highly related to their channel? Because the only
way the channel owner (the authority) is going to accept
your offer to promote your opt in page, is if they see value for
their subscribers.
We all know from reading the Traffic Authority Manual, and
seeing the results I ve shown you, that these YouTube
authorities have huge influence over their subscribers. But
they strive to keep them happy, and they really don t
recommend offers that they don t think aren t going to
benefit them in anyway.
So you need to focus on what their subscribers will receive if
they go to your opt in page and sign up. Because believe it
or not, 90% of these authorities will only want to share decent
promotions on there YouTube channel.

Now I know, I ve probably made the second one a lot worse
than it could ve been, but hopefully the quick comparison
will show you how crucial it is to position what we re doing
here. We need to make it look like the channel owner, along
with their subscribers, are going to benefit from what we re
promoting. Even if our main aim is to build a huge email list of
people who love gardening, to then promote gardening
courses too to make a buck& we shouldn t make our
benefits clear.
When contacting them don t focus on your end of the deal,
focus on theirs and how promoting your opt in page will
benefit their subscribers.
That is crucial.
I mean really crucial.
So by clever positioning, it s actually pretty easy to get them
to promote your opt in page for free. I ve done it before,
and if you focus on creating a message positioning your offer
to sound like there s more in it for them and for their
subscribers& they ll be willing to go ahead.
But it s not always as easy as that.
More Incentives
A One Off Payment  This is the obvious choice, but it s often
the option that fails. You can simply offer the channel owner
a payment to include your opt in page in one of their videos.
Remember though, we want to try and get them to actually
physically recommend their subscribers to your offer. A
simple link in an old video will still get you traffic, but it wont
be nowhere near as effective.

The issue with offering a one off payment is you have to
weigh up how beneficial the promotion is going to be. You
need to consider a whole bunch of variables before coming
up with a figure to offer them. So think about how valuable
the niche you re in is. If it s a niche where people are after
high end products (expensive products), then obviously you
could offer more. Think about what you re going to promote,
and how much your earnings per sale would be? You also
want to consider how many subscribers they have. The more
the better, so of course the more subscribers the more you
can effectively pay. Also how much activity do they receive
per video? How many comments? Likes? Again if there s low
activity on all of their videos, it shows a lot of their subscribers
aren t paying attention. If there s consistent activity on all of
their videos, then again you can increase the value of the
promotion.
I ve paid $10 for a YouTube authority to promote my offer,
and I ve also paid $500. So think about the end result, and of
course how much your potential return on investment is
going to be.
A Free Gift  We all love stuff for free. Period. So why not send
them a free gift you think they d like? The good thing about
YouTube authorities is they re personal, and they give a lot
away on their channels. You can get a good idea of what
they like, and you can simply go ahead and offer to buy it
for them. If you re targeting a channel dedicated to offering
Beauty Tips, you can simply watch a few of their videos and
see what products they say they liked. A friendly email asking
them to recommend your opt in page, in return of you
sending them something they love for free, again is huge
persuasion. Why would they say no?
An Earning Per Sign Up  I ve done this many times before,
and this works on results. How much do you value each
email added to your list? This works really well because it
gives the authority more incentive to really push your offer. If
they get an upfront fee, they ll probably just recommend
your offer half heartedly. They ve already got their end of the

deal. But by offering them a figure for every email sign they
generate for you, they ll only cash in if they really do well.
So all you need to do is simply set your sign up page to
record where the sign ups come from. Either go advanced
and turn it into a small CPA offer, or simply create a goal in
Google Analytics, or even add a referral field on your sign up
box. Track the results, and pay them after. How much per
sign up? Again, how much per sale could you make when
marketing to your email list? How valuable is an email?
A Prize For The Highest Referrer  A cool incentive, which is
out of the box thinking& I ve used this before and it works
well. You can market your opt in page to almost be a
launch. When contacting the channel owner, mention that
you re running a contest for referrers. The person to refer the
most sign ups, wins an awesome prize. Not only will this again
force them to pay more attention to your promotion, but
they ll also try and rally up their troops (their subscribers) to
get behind them.
I ve done this before, and the channel owner posted a
video asking his subscribers to sign up at the link in the
description. He then went on to ask them to share it with their
friends, so he could win the prize on offer& Awesome
exposure.
That s it.
If one incentive doesn t work& another will. You ve got a
variety of options here, so you ve got backups incase the
person you re contacting doesn t accept.
Once your campaign is complete, you then need to track
results. How many sign ups were generated? Was the
promotion worth it? If so, rinse and repeat. Find a similar
channel and approach it the same way.

So the only step from the strategy we re adjusting here is step
3. Focus on what you re offering them, and tailor the
approach using the methods given above.
It works, and it works in hundreds of niches.
I ve used the techniques above to build an email list in the
fashion niche, the beauty niche, the weight loss niche, the
make money online niche, the technology industry plus
more. Results will defer depending on the niche, but if you
follow the steps given to you in the Manual, along with
tailoring your approach using this eBook, you ll achieve a
targeted email list.
