Pets at home - a pleasure or a problem
I think that pets at home are for many people a big problem. There is plenty of evidence to show that someone who wants to keep cat or dog or any other popular pet should think twice before he make decision. Animals needs a lot of attention. They are much usefull. For example dog can help his blind owner. We must be very patient in trainig. Animals are stinky and they are expensive to keep. Pet to be happy must eat the right food, live in the right place. The pet can't be alone all days in home. They need very much care. But I'm sure that there are people for whom pets are a pleasure. I belong to them. They love pets and spend many time with them. They don't think that pets are a problem and they have very often many pets in home.
Pollution
Our earth is very polluted. Everything is polluted: earth, water and air. Air is polluted from smoke coming from cars and factories' chimneys. Smoke contains carbon dioxide. People use aerosols, which destroy the ozone layer. To protect, the environment we should use lead free petrol or use bicycles. We should also plant trees. Water there Lakes are is also polluted by factories, chemicals, which we put to the water. But we can protect water from pollution by filters. Our earth is polluted by rubbish. We destroy our planet. We shouldn't use plastic a lot. We should also recycle paper and glass. Everywhere should be special conteiners for glass, paper and other trash. We should punish people who destroy our planet.
The causes of stress and ways of dealing with it
We can meet stress everywhere. For example at school, at work, at home... I think that many situation causes stress. Children feel stress because they ade scared of tests or teachers in school. If they have bad notes, they'll be scared of parents too. At work people all the time feel stress. At home stress is caused by marriage problems, lack of money and time. All people feel stress because everyone have problems and needs. All of us are stressed and we should think how we could fight with it. I know some ways on stress. We should forget about problems and make something what we have ever wanted to do. We must have a hobby. We should sometimes go for a walk, go to the cinema or talk with friends or ask someone about help. We should listen to nice music.
Of these three - money, sex and power - which is the most attractive?
All of them are very atractive and all of them come together. If you are rich and powerfull you attract those of opposite sex. As for as I'm concerned I personaly would take money as the most attractive. If you have a lot of money you can do almost everything in today's world. You have a lot of friends and you can also win any elections or you can be a boss in big company. You have big house, expensive car and everything what you need and want to have. If you have money you can have everyone woman and you can go to bed with she. I think money are the most attractive of these three.
The good points and bad points of being rich and famous.
There are advantages and disadvantages of being rich and famous. The good point is that you have a lot of money and you can have everything what you want. And it's good to be famous too. Everybody knows you, recognizes and admires you. You know other famous people... But it has bad points too. When I read or watch an interview with somebody famous they almost always say that their fame is very hard to bare. They can't get out without a security, always sourrounded by fans. Them job is hard for them. And here in Poland Adam Małysz who has become almost national hero after this historical win in World Cup. He says: The one thing about it is everybody knows me and I don't like it very much.
Is television only for entertainment?
The twentieth century has made television a very popular from of entertainment. Nowadays no one can imagine life without this usefull invention. TV is a very powerfull force. First of all, it is the most important source of information about what is happening in every corner of the world. It beeps us informed about wars, significant political or cultural events, catastrophes, accidents and crimes. TV not only colour our life but also enormal educational possibilities. It broadens the mind increases our knowledge about the world, people, their culture, traditions and so one. Moreover it offers numerous courses for instance in foreign languages, cooking or gardening. I often watch films, quiz shows, sport and music.
Are you in favour of capital punishment?
There is a national debate whether capital punishment be abolished in our country. From the ethical point of view capital punishment is inhumane. It is so because a judge, an executioner and all the other people directly or indirectly involved in bringing about a verdict often have doubts as to whether they did he right thing and this neighs on their lives. Another way issue is whether the death penalty is appropriate for the crime committed. In my opinion a criminal should rather expiate his dead by working very hard to the end of his life. Sometimes a life - sentence is a harsher punishment than death. History also know hundreds of cases of criminals who changed for the better and we can only feel sorry for those condemned to death who were not given any chance to improve.
Why people take drugs?
Drugs can mean everything from cigarettes and alcohol to heroin, cannabies, amphetamine, LSD and cocaine. They are dangerous for many reasons. They lead to depression, unconsciousness or even death. Many teenagers turn to drugs such as sleeping tablets or anti-depressons to help relax and cope with the stress and problems of their life. They experience many pressures at school, from parents, friends, they are bored, frustrated or frightened. They think that taking drugs is the best way - out. However they do not realize how dangerous and deceitful it is. There are many reasons why people take drugs. Someone convinced that drugs has a lot of benefits. The drugs help them whenever they are nervous, worried or depressed. When they take drugs they feel perfectly well and enjoy. People think that the problems go away when they take drugs. I think next reason why people take drugs is for pleasure, sometimes for entertainment and as an alternative to alcohol. But later they simply have to take it because they are now drugs addicted.
Travels broadens your mind.
That is very true. This is the reason why people travel. People travel to learn something about other countries and nations and learn other languages. We visit the most famous places that we learned or read about. We travel because we want to know more about the world, other coultures, religions, nations. Different nations travel for different reasons. It is said that Poles travel to earn some money. They just work abroad. Americans for example travel to take photographs of famous places. I think no matter is a reason, the most important thing is that we know more and more about other countries and people.
What should parents teach their children?
They should teach them everything good. Apart from the things like walking, talking, tiding up our shoelaces, doing bottoms up. Our parent teach us all. They tell us that we should study hard. Our parents help us distinguish what is good and bad. They are a model for us, how we must live if we want to be good people in the future. They must learn us how we must earn and spend money. They are more experienced and can give good advices how their childrens should live if they want to be good people in the future. Parents can solve many children problems. Parents knows their children and they must guarannteed them everything, what their children need.
What would you do if you won 1000000$?
First of all I would be very, very happy. Probably I couldn't belive my eyes. But later I would sit and think for a while. I'd put money in bank. Later I would go for a wonderfull trip around the world. Perhaps I'd move to another country. Then I'd buy a house myself in some nice place like mountains or seaside and a fast car. I would buy myself everything what I want. I would tell my family about it and I buy them something special. I would be rich! A part of money I would gave to poor people or something like this.
My weekday
I usually wake up at 7 o'clock except at weekend. I quickly make the bed and go to the bathroom. I carefully brush my teeth, wash my face and comb my hair. Then I get dressed and get a books for school. I usually have yoghurt, a cheese, sandwiches, a cup of tea or coffe for breakfast. I leave the house and I rush to school. I usually spend seven hours at school and about 2 pm I back home. I eat dinner and then I being doing by homework. If there is not much to do I listen to music and I visit my friends. I help my parents in our small shop. In the evening I have supper and then I watch television. About 11 pm I have a shower and I go to bed.
The best book you have read
Books have been very important for me since the day I could read. Among the books I have read one book has a particular meaning for me. This is „Dances with the wolves” by Michael Blake. There are lots of arguments why I would like to recommend this book to read. Firstly, one of the most important things is that this book shows how America looks in 19th century. So „Dances with wolves” might be said that it is a historical novel. This is true and that is strong argument that people should read this book. Secondly, there is also a romance with woman, which make the book much interesting. They are falling in love with each other and it make their lives a little complicated but I would not live to say the end of the story. In conclusion I would like to say, that „Dances with wolves” is the most important book in my life and I read it again from time to time.
What do you do to stay healthy?
We often ask ourselves if our life style is healthy. It seems that the most important things to be in good condition are good diet and vigarous exercise. We should eat a lot of fruit and vegetables because they contain vitamines and minerals which are good for our health. We should avoid fat - buildings sweets ice-cream, coobies or crisps and instead eat more whole - meal bread, low - fest cottage cheese and drink slimmed milk or yoghurt. If possible, we should eat regulary five times a day and our diet should not only by balanced but also varied. Another important thing for our health is sleep and rest. We should bear in mind that only relaxed living whithout too much pressure and worry have a chance to keep healthy. Very important is sport too. We can do jogging, riding a bike or many similar sport kinds.
Computer - freedom or slavery?
Almost every home, office or school has a computer nowadays. Many people feel that these machines are now an essential part of our lives, but how necessary are these really. One of the main advantages is the time than can be saved by using a computer. This is especially beneficial in the workplace, where employess can do their for faster then they could in the past. In addiction to this, computer can be educational and fun. From a very young age, children can gain basic computer skills though programmes that allow them to learn draw, paint and play. In today's technological world it his knowledge can only help then in the future. However there are various negative aspects to using computers. Many proffesions were forgotten due to work of computers replaces effects of their work. This has less to high unemployment in many countries. What is move computers can actually cause health problems. Endless hour in front of a screen can cause eye stain and headache, which are serious side - effects.
The best film you've seen
Armagedon, directed by Michael Bay is a fascinating science fiction film. It is set in NASA Laboratory and in space. The film is about struggle between people and a huge meteor. Scientist of NASA discovered that a huge meteor comes nearer to the Earth. It flies at 35 thousand kilometers per hour. If it fell down, our planet would be destroyed. Boss - Dan Truman, played by Billy Thomton, thinks, that mission of space shuttle, which participants will land on the meteor, will drill holes and will place there nuclear change, will be one of possible sollutions. Henry Stamper, played by Bruce Willis, is the only one human, who could do it. Life on our planet depends on Harry Stamper and his abilities. Mission with Harry Stamper and his friends was succesfull, but he had to die for mankind. All the actors especially Bruce Willis and Liv Tyler are excellent. The film is filled with suspence and emotion. The scenes in space were wonderfull. The film presents one of many answers for questions : „How will the Earth look like in future?”
What are you afraid of?
In the world is so many thing that I afraid of. The most afraid to be alone in darkness. When I am in darkness I feel bad. I feel presence another person. I usually think is a ghost. It's scared me. Also I afraid spiders. I hate that animals because they are disgusting. Also I afraid about my tommorow. I afraid about my future what I will do after my high school. I'm afraid of driving a car because of I'm crazy driver.
The trip of my life
The trip of my life was the one to the Tatras. It was my first trip to the mountains. I was there in July with my friends - we went by train and by bus. We have lived in Murzasichle at small wooden home. We were there two weeks. Everyday we went rock climbing. The new were breathtaking. We had a lovely time. Early in the mornings we got up, had breakfast and went to Zakopane by bus. Every day we climbed higher mountain. We had a wonderfull guide. We have many photos from that trip. Those who managed to climb the mountains could be very proud of himself. I never forget a big storm there... I will never forget that trip.
Your hobbies and interests
I think that everybody have or should have his hobby - some thing that he like doing. What can calm down.... Some people collect stamps, postcards, tins from a beer other collect paintings, ride horses, job etc. I like reading interesting books and most of my free time I spend on that. I also like collecting books, especially those which might be usefull, I have many encyclopedias and dictionaries. For example I have my first book that I read on my own. It's the story of Red Teddybear. I'm interested in cars and I collect magazines about it, for example I have all „Auto-Świat” since 1997. I also like reading sport magazines like „Auto-swiat”. I collect photos from many rallies from Poland.
Discuss pros and cons of living in the country
Living in the country has both pros and cons. One advantage is that there are not many cars. There's no traffic, no noise, air is not polluted. What is more, if you want to relax, you can go to forest, sit under a tree and breath with fresh air. You can go to the forest for a mushrooms or berries. You know everybody, you say hello to everyone, it makes friendly tone around you. However, there are also disadvantages. One of them is that you can't find job, because there's not many places to work. It is a very big problem for the country. There is a big problem with public transport. It is important to have a car if you really want to go somewhere, do shopping in the nearest city etc. And I don't like old people, which are very superstitious.
The capital of Poland
The capital of Poland is Warsaw. Warsaw was made capital of Poland in 1586. Today it has a population of about 1,6 million people. This is 4% Poland's population. Warsaw stands on the river Vistula. There are 4 bridges over the Vistula in Warsaw. It is in the centre of the country on the banks of the Vistula river. In the city is 7 quarters, Śródmieście, Żoliborz, Wola, Ochota, Mokotów, Praga Pd, Praga Pn. It's one of the biggest polish cities. It's the setting of the most important polish authorities. It's a big industrial, science and cultural centre. There are 16 universities, many operas and theatres. In Warsaw there are many churches and monuments. Our capital is also famous for the King's palace. It's a pride of all Poles.
Is it easier to be a teenager or an adult
I think right is saying „young children - small problems, old childrens - big problems”. It is easier to be teenager. Why? Because of in most cases teenager are under parent's care. Parents earn money for their children, they've buying them food, clothes, gives them place for living - home, they are more experienced and can give good advices how teenagers should live if they want to be good people in the future. Parents can solve many children's problems. Parents knows their children the best and they must guarannteed them everything, what their children need. Teenagers must learn in school due to only then, when they were well-mannered and educationed, they could find a job and make moneys for their children in the future. Many teenagers' problems are small and they shouldn't worry about that. Young people mustn't worry about everything, because their parents do it. I think easier is to be a teenager.
Having a lot of brothers and sisters, pras and cons.
Nowadays having lots of brothers and sisters isn't much popular, people are rather poor, and they haven't money for food, clothes, education and everything for more than one or two children. I've got one brother and two sisters, and really i don't like them... I know that i shouldn't do that, but life is brutal. But if they would be normal, I think, it would be good. When I want to talk with somebody, I can do it with brother. If I need a partner for chess I can play with my brother, if I need money I can lend it from my sister. My sister is very lazy, but if I'm hungry I can tell her that she must make me some sandwiches and a cup of tea. I think having lot of brothers and sisters is good, only if they are friendly and normal. But there's a disadvantages too. You've to share everything with your family. You don't have your own room. Parents don't give you a lot of money. You don't have a privacy and peace because you get interrupted all the time. If you have a little brother or sister, you have to baby sit him all the time. You don't have free time. You have to help your parents.
TV with no violence would be too boring for most people - what's your opinion?
In fact, this time television emited many films and programs with violence and blood. I think it's due to times when we're now living. Everywhere we're listening about murders, shoplifings, shootings and because of it's everywhere, why it shouldn't be in TV? But in my opinion films with brutal murders are only for that people, which aren't too much intelligent. This time POLSAT - most popular tv program now emited over 10 hours a day silly and stupid brasilian novels without violence and I don't know women which don't watch that. It isn't intelligent too. But in otherside in TV young man couldn't find many interesting programs for him. I like Rower Błażeja, but it is emited in bad time for me, I watch it occasionally. Let's look on TV program. In the morning we can watch cartoons, in afternoon we must watch brasilians novels, in the night we've stupid films with violence. I think people are watching stupid films because of they must mark time. I often watch very popular nowadays reality show called Big Brother. There is no violence at all and I like it very much. I enjoy watching it and so do my friends. So it's not true that TV without violence would be boring.
Space travels - a waste of time and money
In my opinion space travels are good, they can show us how looks other planets, scientist can research planets and in future when on the earth will be too small place for people, they will be living on other planets. Conquest of the cosmos is a next step in the future. Other planets could be usefull for us, our technic, can be there mineral sources for example. I think that space travels are not a waste of time or money. Thanks to these travels we know more and more about our planet and about the Solar system. Perhaps in the future mankind will be forced to abandon the Earth because of any ecollogical disaster or nuclear war. So now we have to find out if there is a planet where we could live. Of all the planets mar is the only planet similar to Earth. Maybe in the future people will live there. Recently an American milionaire Tito went for a space journey on Russian shuttle. I'm sure he was the first but not the last. And perhaps in a few hundreds years all of we will be able to travel in space in a very past and cheap way.
What are the greatest achievements of mankind?
I concider jeans the greatest achievement of mankind. Levi Strauss a young German pioneer when he came to California in 1848 he wanted to sell tent for miners. But one day a miner said to Levi „What I need is not a tent but a pair of strong trousers”. Levi had an idea. He used very strong cloth to make his first pair of trousers. It was later called jeans. Can we really imagine world nowadays without Levi's invention. I bet everybody has a pair of jeans. I think jeans are the mot comfortable cloth I have ever had. Everyone like wearing jeans.
If you were to leave Poland where would you choose to live and why?
If I had a choice I would go to the USA. It's because it's very interesting country, very big and beautiful. It has a great deal of opportunities. It is the country, where everybody can make his dreams true. People who live there are happy. They have job and they can afford anything. They have wonderfull houses and cars. A fuel is cheaper than a water. They can hire a room service. They have a lot of money. There are greatest and most known high schools. It's the most important country in the world. I dream about living there.
The worst/most memorable experience you've had?
I'm sure the worst experience I had was my leg broken. It happend two years ago. I fell from a big tree. I remember terrible pain I felt. I used to hurt for about five weeks. I couldn't walk, take a bath and go to school alone. I had to stay at home and sit all the time. I was so bored that I didn't know what to do. I was very sad but my friends gave me some music CD's and I could listen music. Even when I had plaster taken of I still couldn't move my leg. It's been a long time since I had it and I still sometime have pain in my ankle.
Your favorite group/singer?
1. My favourite music group.
Most of teenagers like lisening to music.They are fascinated by groups or singers. Some people like heavy metal, pop, jazz or clasical music. And many, like me, like rock music. I listen to groups like Nirvana, Offspring, Garbage, but my favourite is Polish group T.Love. This group started its carrer in Częstochowa 15 years ago. At that time they appeared in Jarocin and Malbork. In 1984 they made their first record on witch there were hits like: IV LO, Wychowanie. In the 80's their hits were like national songs for young people. In 1991 second LP was made called „Pocisk miłości”, later „Revolution Day” King, I love you, Prymityw, Al Capone. Many of these became hits. Their last album „Boys don't cry” oppeared in shops 3rd November `97. There are 5 boys in T.Love. Perkosz, Majcher - guitars, Nouzim - bass guitar. Sidney 2000 Polak - drums and Muniek - lirics and lead vocal. I like this group and I have their many CD's.
Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of tourism.
I think that tourism has only advantages because people who travel enjoy doing this. They meet friends and interesting places, cultures. They also rest and relax. Very often their best memories are those holidays. Tourists can see many interesting monuments, nice sights which we can see only on the postcards. The tourists can go to warm countries, they can sunbathe and swim in clear water. The other advantage is that some countries obtain large sums od money from tourists. Actually in every country it's a very important branch of industry. I personally love travelling. I travel whenever I can. However there is, I think, the only disadvantage that it is very expensive and not everybody can afford it.
