2. Label sentence elements and the transitivity class of the main verb.

Gandalf stopped to smoke. Gollum made a horrible guide.
3. Name the transitivity type of the main verb in the following sentences. Then, make them passive in two ways (if possible). Name the element that becomes the subject in the transformation.
Gandalf explained the nature of the Ring to Frodo.
Legends say that Sauron himself made the Ring.
People believed that Sauron had been destroyed.
They heard Gollum screech “Baggins! Shire!”.
Bilbo has given Frodo an item of rather expensive underwear.
Bilbo urged Frodo to be extra careful.
