Transcript WB 06 Speaker 1 Therc-s a juy I often bump into at pprties callcd Jordan.
I‘m not surę where hc lives esactly bul I prcsume i«’s somcwhcre nearby as I often sce him laking his dog for a walk in the park opposite my house. Wheneyer I sce nim we havc a bit of a chał. and often cnd up talking aboul football orgcnerally putting the worfd to rights. Hc seems likc a really intcresting guy.
Speaker 2 Ruth and 1 go back about fifteen years - although we didn-l particularly hit it off at first for somc reason. It was on>y when hcr family moved into our neighbourhood that we becamevery dose and wc've remained so ever sińce. I went through a really tough time just bcfore myA levds: 1 had some family probiems whith left mc feeling pretty Iow and she realy got me through all that. £ven now shc's the one that l'll always turn to in timcs of neco because I know that she really understands mc and she knows that she can always lean on me too. Speaker 3 I met |acob when we were at art college. 1 was rcaltydrawn to him because he had such a bnlliant sensc of humour. In our first year we did eyerything together. lacob and I.
I confided in him. told him all my deepesl worries and insecurities.
We were best mates as far as I was concemcd. In our second year, I went through a very painfut sp.it with my girlfriend and fclt really awful about it. But I knew lacob wouid be supportive and wouid help mc find the will to carry on ćuring this time, or at least so I thought. As it turned out. he just didn’t want to know. he basically just dumped me. and found himsetf a new frieod Ihat hc could go out and havc a good time with. Oh well. it's /lIs loss!
Speaker A Gili and I have known each other for about two years - sińce I joined St V,ary's school. We get on pretty well. on a supcrficial levcl at least, and tend to socialise in the Staff room. Pve been in trouble a cojple of limes recently over issues such as not gctting paperwork donc on time and each time Gili has stepoed in to dcfend me. I can always rely on her to be on my side in those situatlnns. Life can be pretty strcssful for a newly qualified teacher likc mc so 1 really appreciate hasńng supportive colleagues likc Gili!
