Publisher’s notę

This catalogue is divided into two sections, Part I (Instalments I-I 1) and Part 2 (Instalments 12-15). This is because in 1999 IDC Publishers started cataloguing new collections and individual titles according to the Anglo American Cataloguing Rules (AACR2). Regretfully, it is not possible to make a cumulation that combines the former and the new system.

AACR2/USMARC cataloguing

The Anglo American Cataloguing Rules (AACR2) conform to the International Standard for Bibliographic Description (ISBD), the standard for bibliographic records used in most countries. Forms of personal names, corporate bodies and meeting names conform to the Library of Congress Name Authority File (LCNAF) and subject entries conform to the Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH). Core level records will be supplied by IDC on a diskette in the USMARC Communications format together with all microfiche ordered from Part 2 (Instalments 12-15).

OCLC

AACR2 cataloguing for instalments I-II is available from the Online Computer Library Center in the USA. Through a cooperative effort, the Law Libraries of St. Louis University and Georgetown University have undertaken the cataloguing of this part of the collection, as one of OCLC’s Major Microform projects. OCLC’s Major Microform projects are currently known as the WorldCat Collection Sets.
