FIRST AID TRAVEL KIT

Homeopathic First Aid Kits have been specially prepared
for the person who has little or no knowledge of
homeopathy and may be enthusiastic to learn a little more
about this natural medicine developed by Samuel
Hahnemann over 150 years ago. The remedies are
contained in bottles containing 25 sucrose pillules (approx
25 doses) Each kit comes with its own prescribing guide to
help you select the most appropriate remedy.

FIRST AID REMEDIES –

We have chosen the following popular remedies for you.

ACONITE 6

Rapid onset of colds and flu, sore throats, effects of fear, fright, chicken
pox and croup.

Dosage: 1 pillule hourly for 3 hours, then reduce to one, 4 times

daily until symptoms disappear.

APIS MEL 6

Burning and stinging pains, insect stings, e.g. bee and wasp. Swellings
of the lower eyelids also hot swollen conditions with synovial conditions
(swelling of the joints).

Dosage: 1 pillule hourly for 3 hours, then reduce to one, 4 times daily until

symptoms disappear. (If swelling worsens after 48 hours give Apis Mel 200
followed by Ledum 6)

ARNICA 6

No 1 remedy in your First-Aid-Kit.
After injury, mental and physical shock, before and after operations or
visits to the dentist. Stops bleeding, aids in the healing of wounds and
reduces bruising and swelling. Good for general healing and shock,
exhaustion, muscular pain, sprains from over-exertion.

Dosage: For shock, trauma or following injury, give 1 pillule every hour for 6

hours, then reduce to one, 4 times daily until symptoms disappear.

ARSEN ALB 6

Stomach upsets from food poisoning, diarrhoea, vomiting,
and acute hayfever conditions. Good for some dry skin conditions.

Dosage: 1 pillule hourly for 3 hours, then reduce to one, 4 times daily until
symptoms disappear.

BELLADONNA 6

Hot flushed face, sore throat, facial neuralgia, throbbing headache,
earache, boils, chicken pox, measles and mumps.

Dosage: 1 pillule hourly for 3 hours, then reduce to one, 4 times daily until relief.

BRYONIA 6

Dry chesty coughs, muscular pains, which is better for resting.

Dosage: 1 pillule hourly for 3 hours, then reduce to one, 4 times daily until
symptoms disappear.

CANTHARIS 6

Burns and scalds before the blisters form, sunburn, constant urge to
pass urine, urine passed drop by drop (Cystitis)

Dosage: 1 pillule twice daily for 7 days. If no improvement a deeper acting remedy
may be required.

GELSEMIUM 6

Influenza, nervous anxiety, sick headache, sore throat, runny nose, and
general hay fever symptoms, measles and examination nerves.

Dosage: 1 pillule twice daily for as long as required.

RUTA GRAV 6

Strains to tendons and ligaments, bone injuries, dislocations, eyestrain
and rheumatism.

Dosage: 1 pillule twice daily for as long as required.

IGNATIA 30

Emotional strain, mental stress, worry or disappointment, sighing,
moody, changeable, all illnesses after loss or shock and especially
suppressed tears or emotions after loss.

Dosage: 1 pillule daily for seven days, watch and wait, repeat after one month if
required for up to three months.

NUX VOMICA 6

Nervous indigestion, early morning liverishness, indigestion 2-3 hours
after food and hangovers and workaholics.

Dosage: 1 pillule twice daily for seven days, watch and wait, repeat as required.

RHUS TOX 6

Shingles, mumps, strains of joints or tendons, rheumatism, lumbago,
sciatica and herpes of the lips. (Cold Sores)

Choice of Potency

The Homeopathic potencies chosen have been prepared in 6, 30, and 200 strength. Higher potencies
e.g. 1m and 10m are best administered after seeking the advice of a Homeopath. Please feel free to
call Andrew for advice.

When ordering your remedies please specify the potency required.

The Homeopathic remedies have been prepared in bottles containing approximately 120 pillules. To
administer the remedy, place one pillule in the vial cap and place directly into the mouth. Try to
avoid dropping or touching the pillule. Small drums containing 280 pillules are also available.

Administering

Acute Condition – Give one pillule hourly up to 6 hours until symptoms subside. In emergency
situation the remedies may be given every 20 minutes until relief.
Chronic Condition – Give one pillule once or twice daily for several days, up to one month. As a
rule if there has been an improvement, stop, watch and wait. If the condition re-occurs, repeat the
dosage.
CONSTITUTIONAL TREATMENT – for longer-term conditions. The homeopath treats the
person not the disease or condition i.e. holistically.

HYPERCAL TINCTURE -

FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY

An excellent healing remedy for all types of cuts and sores. Dilute in water (20 drops to one cup of
cooled boiled water). This tincture combines the natural healing properties of Calendula and the pain
relieving properties of Hypericum.

TO USE
Apply to the wound/sore area, repeat once or twice daily until condition clears.

MILK THISTLE
Milk thistle is an herbaceous annual or biennial plant with a dense prickly flower head with purplish
tubular flowers. An excellent Liver detox helps improve levels of energy and promotes general
health. Good for depression and alcoholism and a useful aid in the treatment of cancer (especially
during and after chemotherapy). The cleansing properties also help in the treatment of psoriasis.

TO USE

Taken internally up to 15 drops twice daily diluted in cold water.

CRATEAGUS
Commonly known as Hawthorn, made from the tincture of the ripe fruit, introduced into medicine as
a heart remedy and as been used with much success as a positive heart tonic. If taken regularly has a

treatment of Angina. When used in conjunction with Aconite 6, reduces anxiety and creates a sense of

ST JOHNS WORT
Hypercium Perforatum, commonly known as St Johns Wort. Made from the fresh organic flowers.
Trials in Germany suggest that this native grown shrub can be taken internally for depression,
neuralgia, anxiety, nervous tension and sleep disorders. It can be applied as a liniment to relieve pain,
for treatment over the spine for relief of nervous diseases that are related to the spine, sciatica,
neuralgia, rheumatic pains, as a lotion for pain relief and can ease bruises. (See Hypercal Cream).

There are 38 Bach flower remedies, which were the discovery of homeopath, Dr Edward Bach. They
fall into three groups, Twelve Healers - These are the remedies that describe the kind of person you
are. Seven Helpers - These remedies are for chronic (long-term) conditions, which describe how you
have become accustomed to dealing with life. Second nineteen – These are remedies corresponding to
emotional conditions in everyday life. Each of the remedy states which Dr Bach described as a
positive and negative aspect – he saw the negative conditions as the true cause of illness and disease.
The flowers embody the positive state – their natural vibrations help us to be happy and to return to
health. You can select a single flower remedy, or take up different combinations, using up to six

AROMATHERAPY
Aromatherapy is the use of pure essential oils, which are the life force of the plant. Each essential oil
has many therapeutic properties which when mixed with a carrier oil can be used for massage to
enhance it’s effects. They can also be used in baths, as a lotion or a vaporiser.
Aromatherapy is an excellent way of maintaining good health, dealing with the stress of everyday life

EVENING PRIMROSE CREAM

HOMEOPATHY FOR EYES & EARS

EUPHRASIA EYE DROPS

HOPI EAR CANDLES
These ear candles are made from pure beeswax, honey extract and traditional herbs such as Sage,
St Johns wort, Camomile and pure essential oils. They calm the mind and sooth the head and ears.
Can be used to remove earwax, helpful in the treatment of tinitus.

TO USE
Light the candle at the unlabelled end and place the non-burning end gently into the outer ear passage. A light

turning movement should be applied until the ear candle is secured in place.
The candle should be burnt down to 1cm above the red line, remove and extinguish the remainder in water. Now

treat the other ear in the same way.

NATURAL TOOTHPASTE
The toothpaste for people who want to avoid synthetic chemicals. There are no artificial sweeteners,

COMFREY CREAM
Comfrey traditionally known as Knit bone, has been used for many years by herbalists in the
treatment of bone fractures and sprains. Our homeopathic Comfrey (symphytum) can also be used as

TO USE:
Apply daily to the affected area.

Active ingredients – Aqueous cream with homeopathic symphytum.

DRY SKIN CREAM
Dry Skin cream contains cold pressed wheat germ oil (Vitamin E). Ideal for dry skin, promotes
healing and aids in the repair of sore and damaged tissue. Hypo-allergenic and fragrance free.

TO USE:
Apply the cream gently, rubbing in lightly two or three times daily to moisturise dry skin.
