Confirmation Testing
Patient position: standing or sitting.
Apply the base of the Kinesio Tex to a
point three fingerbreadths below the
lumbosacral junction on the sacrum
Bend forward from the hips and
“hunch” the spine to increase tissue
tension.
Peel the Kinesio Tex from the paper
liner and place the tape temporarily
on the skin. Do not activate the glue
by rubbing.
While stabilizing the base of the
Kinesio Tex, pull the skin inferiorly to
increase tissue tension.
Apply the medial “y” tail to the
transverse process of the transverse
process of the 1st thoracic vertebra.
Apply the lateral “y” tail along the
costal angle to end one fingerbreadth
lateral to the medial tail.
