Functional Anatomy Testing Tape Specification

Confirmation Testing



Patient position: Standing or sitting.



Apply the base of Kinesio Tex to the
costal angle of the 6th rib.



Peel the Kinesio Tex from the paper
liner and place the tape temporarily
on the skin.



Cross the patient’s arms across the
chest and “hunch” the spine. Forward
bend and laterally flex the head to the
opposite side.



While stabilizing the base of the
Kinesio Tex, pull the skin inferiorly to
increase tissue tension.



Apply the other end of Kinesio Tex to
the transverse process of the 4th
cervical vertebra.
