Confirmation Testing
With the wrist and fingers in neutral
position, apply the Kinesio Tex just
proximal to the “y” cut over the 5th
metacarpal bone. The tails will be
placed on the 5th finger.
Peel the Kinesio Tex from the paper
liner and place the tape temporarily
on the skin. Do not activate the glue
by rubbing.
Apply the first “y” tail of the Kinesio
Tex to the dorsolateral side of the
proximal interphalangeal joint of the
5th finger.
Apply the other “y” tail of the Kinesio
Tex to the dorsomedial side of the
proximal interphalangeal joint of the
5th finger.
With the wrist and fingers in flexion to
increase tissue tension, apply the
Kinesio Tex to the wrist.
Peel the Kinesio Tex from the paper
liner and place the tape temporarily
on the skin. Do not activate the glue
by rubbing.
Stabilize the base of the Kinesio Tex
at the wrist and pull distally to
increase tissue tension.
Apply the Kinesio Tex to the lateral
epicondyle of the humerus.
