How can they be achieved? By using the flexible steel guard-rail
construction. Owing to its flexibility, the lightweight and yielding road
restraint system is proven by very low injury statistics and can therefore
be considered ‘forgiving’ and life-saving.
The individual types of guard-rail along with their necessary auxiliary
constructions make up the complete package. The high degree of safety
at collisions involving occupants is indisputably proven by the lowest injury
class A. So preferably, under similar conditions, safety systems of injury
class A should be used.
