Campaign level one Mid-course listening test.
Task one. Listen and write the call signs.
1 This is bravo two four.
2 Hello, tango alpha three.
3 This is mike zulu four seven, over.
4 The commander’s call sign is SUNRAY. That’s sierra, uniform, november, romeo,
alpha, yankee.
Track 2
Task two. Listen and complete.
Good morning. Tomorrow, we’re on the range. It’s an early start. Breakfast is at 0600
hours.
After that we take transport to the ranges. The transport leaves from outside the
cookhouse at 0630.
One platoon is on range 6 bravo and two platoon is on 7 alpha.
Transport back is at 1500 hours. And our ETA back at the base is 1530 hours.
Track 3
Task two repeated at normal speed.
Track 4
Task three. Listen and match.
A: Right, sergeant. Let’s go over the schedule for tomorrow. Who’s responsible for
transport?
B: That’s Sergeant Black, sir.
A: And what about catering?
B: Corporal Brown is in charge of catering, sir.
A: And what about ammunition. Who’s responsible for ammunition?
B: Staff Sergeant Grey, sir.
A: And who’s the Range Officer?

A: And when did you join the army, lieutenant?
B: In 1995, ma’am.
A: Right. And what’s your branch of service?
B: I’m in the artillery corps, ma’am.
A: And you are posted to the 3

Artillery Regiment?
B: Negative, ma’am. I’m currently assigned to the 23
rd
Missile Regiment, ma’am.

A: Excuse me, sir.
B: Yes, Corporal Watts.
A: I’m looking for the duty officer, sir.
B: That’s Captain Mitchell. He’s with the adjutant. Why do you want to see Captain
Mitchell, corporal?
A: I have these lists for him, sir. They’re for the parade on Friday.
B: Do you know where the adjutant’s office is?
A: No, sir.
B: It’s on the second floor. You go up the stairs, turn left and it’s the fourth door on
the right.
