1. Assemble the harness components for installation by plugging the trailer harness (with
Grommet) into the converter body.
2. Lift the center floor panel in the rear cargo area. Remove the spare tire and set all parts
aside for later reinstallation. (See Figure 1)
Figure 1.
3. Remove the passenger side floor panel in the rear cargo area by removing 2 plastic push
fasteners one located towards the front of the panel and the other located to the rear under
the flap. Set all components aside for later reinstallation.
4. Remove the plastic panel in the rear of the vehicle in the area of rear latch. Save panel and 2
plastic fasteners for later reinstallation. (See Figure 2)
5. Remove the rubber drain plug (1-1/2” dia.) located in the spare tire well and discard. Route
the trailer wire harness through this hole and be sure the grommet is fully seated in the hole.
6. Route the wire harness along the back edge of the tire well, following the existing wire
harness bundle. Tie the two wire harness bundles together using three of the wire ties
provided. Remove the tape backing from the back of the converter and stick the converter to
the rear of the spare tire well. (See Figure 2)
Figure 2
7. Reinstall all previously removed panels then raise and secure the vehicle on a lift.
8. On the outside of the vehicle locate the hitch wire harness. Wire tie harness to the lip of the
spare tire well underneath using two of the provided wire ties. (See Figure 3)
9. Proceed with trailer hitch installation
10. When ready to tow, connect the hitch wire harness’s black four-pin wire connector to the

12. When the hitch wire harness is not in use, place the dust cap over the four-pin connector to
protect against possible damage.
13. Occasionally lubricate terminals for the four-pin connector using enclosed tube of terminal
grease.
NOTE: Always disconnect the trailer wire harness before launch or retrieving a watercraft.
