These are errata to the version of Fate Core released July 2013.
Page 69: Rewording this sentence as follows; new text in bold:
If the aspect you invoke is on
someone else’s character sheet, including situation aspects attached to them, and the invoke
is to their disadvantage, you give them the fate point you spent. (Invoking a third party’s
aspect is treated just like invoking an unattached situation aspect.)
Page 140: Simple typo “get you get” should just be “get you”.
Page 149: Simple typo “that’s next scene” should be “that’s the next scene”.
Page 152: The example is technically incorrect (the version of contests expressed on the
previous page is correct). Cynere didn’t need to push for a success with style. She’s always
been an overachiever.
We plan to rewrite this for the PDF at the least, but we were too slow to catch it before the
book went to press. The example will show Cynere not succeeding with style in her second
exchange, just succeeding normally; then everything proceeds as written, with her double-
invoke getting a SWS result and a total of three victories.
Page 252: Should be “told in the span of a few scenarios” not “told in the span of a few
sessions”.
Page 273: Simple typo “those stunt modify” should be “those stunts modify”.
Page 280: Simple typo “You have Armor:2 vs.” should be “You have Armor:2 on”.
Not Exactly Errata
