Confirmation Testing
Patient position:
Sitting, with the elbow ~30 degrees from full
extension, forearm in slightly less than full
pronation, and resting on the table for
stabilization and support. Extend the wrist to
the radial side. Allow the fingers to flex as the
wrist is extended.
Examiner pressure:
Against the dorsum of the hand along the 2nd
and 3rd metacarpal bones in the direction of
flexion toward the ulnar side.
