WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (1564-1616)
William Shakespeare was born in 1564 in Stratford on Avon. It is a small town in Warwickshire. He was married with Ann Hathaway. They were married in 1582.
In 1587 he left his wife and children in Stratford and set out for London. He joined a company of traveling actors, but he wasn't a good actor, his best role was the Ghost in "Hamlet."
In 1610 he returned to Stratford being already famous as a dramatist. His last play "Henry VIII" was written in 1612. William Shakespeare died in 1616.
William Shakespeare wrote 36 plays, tragedies and comedies, such as "Romeo and Julia," "Hamlet," "Othello", "Makbet," "Antonius and Cleopatra" and many others.
William Shakespeare is universally regarded as the greatest play write of all times.
