Aims:
to extend vocabulary connected to “house” and the “street”
to develop art skills
to revise colours
Objectives:
By the end of the lesson the students will be able to call at least 4 parts of the house.
By the end of the lesson the students will be able to recognize the word “street” and connect some vocabulary with it (“a tree”, “a house” etc.)

a big board with the street drawn on it
some sheets of paper

Showing kids my drawn home (made of plasticine, drawn and cut already) and telling them “This is my HOME. These are WALLS, this is my DOOR, these are my WINDOWS and the ROOF. My home is on the King Street” and I put it into the King Street board.

Giving instructions / task |
Telling students that they will make their homes using all stationery devices I brought. Each student has his own piece of paper and make his home.
Walking around the classroom and ask them what colour their e.g.: roof/door/walls etc. is.

Finishing task |
Students go to the board with the street drawn and teacher's home glued already and put their own to the map. Additionally those who finished earlier, draw trees / shops / post boxes etc. on the map to make the street nicer. |

Talking about each house with help of the students - “Mary house is ... (blue!) and has a nice ... (white!) roof” |
