PAST SIMPLE - REGULAR VERBS
AFFIRMATIVE FORM
RULE:
Infinitive form + ed
E.g.: To look - looked
Notice that:
When the verb ends in e, you just add a d.
E.g.: love - loved
Some verbs double their final consonant.
E.g.: admit - admitted; stop - stopped
Verbs ending in -y following a consonant change the -y into -I before adding ed.
E.g.: carry - carried; study - studied
The verbs in the past simple have only one form for every person
E.g.: I / you / he / she / it / we / you / They visited London.
