DESCRIPTION OF PRACTICE: |

A 9v9 game. A simple demonstration of game organization, management and control using Q&A technique to improve players understanding of the key factors relating to Switching play and penetrating and the relationship between the two in a real game situation. This session should clearly identify the need for demonstration and rehearsal in clearly and accurately recreated situations. |

Start position can be from the Goalkeepers. No restrictions.
Allow some free play to observe. Explain control methods for the game.

Effective switch play improves penetration and requires all of the above; the emphasis in this session should be creating space and individual mobility to exploit it by overloading one side to switch the point of attack to the other. It is an extension of creating space as a team and as individuals. To achieve this well, good vision and the ability to improvise is required, especially with regard to end product. (scoring a goal) |
