WRITING (75 MINS)

There are two tasks in this test. You must do both tasks.

TASK ONE

Choose one of the following topics. You should write between 120 and 150 words.

1. You have seen an advertisement in the newspaper for a military PT instructor. Write
   a letter of application for the job. Mention your education, work experience, sports records, interests.

2. You have just started an English language course at a British university and had a few problems initially adapting to life and study in Britain. Write a letter to a friend explaining the problems and how you think the experience will help you in the future.

TASK TWO

You must do this task. You should write between 120 and 150 words.

You are responsible for food supplies in your unit. The existing food provider has worsened to the extent that you are thinking of a replacement. Write a report to your superior suggesting that a new food provider should be selected. Write about:

• poor food quality

• limited choice of products

• unknown sources of meats

• relatively high prices

• late deliveries
