Please note that this cable only works with the software
supplied which should never be updated
Any attempt to connect it to another version software, either
lower or even the same but in another language will
permanently damage/block the cable.
VCDS 10.6 EN works with the 32bit OS Windows XP, Vista, Windows
7, with 64bit OS you have to install special drivers for 64bit
OS.
Installation instructions:
1. Before start the installation disable any internet
connection on your PC/Laptop
2. Disable/TURN OFF your antivirus software before you start
installation of the software VCDS 10.6 EN and cable drivers
3. Insert the supplied CD into your PC/Laptop and open it
4. Twice click on VCDS Release 10.6.exe to start the
installation
5. During the installation approve all windows that will
appear on the screen, even the comuter will say that the
software version is not compatibile or doesn t have all
certificates and wait until the end of installation
6. After correctly completed installation of the main program
VCDS10.6 computer will ask you if you want to install drivers,
accept it and install the drivers
After you finished it still don't start anything.
7.On supplied CD find attached file VCDS_UP_OFF.exe and
double-click on it - on Windows 7 you have to run it with
Administrator rights because otherwise nothing will add to
the etc / hosts.
8.Still don't start anything
9. Then plug in HEX-CAN-USB VAG10.6 cable to
the USB port on your PC/Laptop and wait until the computer
detects it and starts to install the drivers (accept all
popups windows) Only after properly installed drivers you will
be able to run the main program VCDS 10.6EN The main program
VCDS 10.6 will only starts when cable is connected to a USB
port on your PC/Laptop and the drivers are installed
correctly.
10.After correctly installed cable drivers still don't start
the main program VCDS 10.6
11. First connect your HEX CAN USB cable VAG10.6 into your
car OBDII socket, and turn ignition on but don't start the
engine
12. Then connect the USB side of your Hex Can USB VAG10.6 cable
into your PC/laptop and start main program VCDS10.6 already
installed on your computer
13.Around the OPTION button(the lower right corner) will
appear message that you connected for the first time the
cable, and for the first time you started main program, and
you have to test it first
So, to have a full license you have click OPTIONS button, into
the options make sure that selected port is USB, and then click
TEST.
After when test is done completly and correctly click SAVE
button(remember that ignition on your car has to be all the
time on), and then when you saved the tested option click
Cancel button.
14. Then when you click About button, you will se that your
program is fully registered and activated.
Then you can enjoy all the options of the VCDS10.6EN.
RECOMMENDATION:
Even the package contains Patch internet blocker turn off your
internet connection any time before you plug the cable to the
PC/Laptop and use this software.
Is recommended to first connect Hex-Can-USB VAG 10.6 cable
to the car OBDII socket, then turn car ignition on, after that
connect VAG 10.6 cable to the computer, and only then start
main program VCDS 10.6.
The program is 100% working and registered version which don't
requires registration or updates, operating with all VAG
group cars
from 1996-2010
