Peek-a-boo Shamrock Ornament
Size 12 Perle or other 45-60 thread. Clear plastic ornament that comes
in 2 halves or tear drop ornament. Small crystal bead for center of
shamrock

Color 1, darker, Color 2, lighter
Row 1, 1 shuttle, color 1. Wrap just enough to do center ring. R 1-3-3-
3-3-3-2. .

Row 2, ball & shuttle, color 2 , wrap 1 ft. on shuttle, bead join to
any p in row 1, ch 3-3-3+ (bead join to next p) around. Join at end

Row 3 1 shuttle, color 1,
R5+ (to any p of row 3) 5. Leave very short thread (abt. 1/16), R3
3/4 close so thread exits out far side, leaving a decorative knot,
leave vst, R3, 3/4 close, leave vst R5+ (to next p in Row 2) 5. Leave
vst continue in pattern around. Join thread into 1st ring, cut, hiding
end.

Row 4 2 shuttles, color 2, continuous thread, abt. 1 yd. on shuttle 1.

Joining Row Color 2, 2 shuttles working from arm then between un-
joined clovers,

clover) 3-3+ (w/or w/o bead to center p of 3rd ring of clover) 3-3-3+
(to base of CR#1) 3-3-3+ (bead? To center p of 1st ring in next clover)
3-3+ (to center p of center ring of same clover) 3-3-3 RW (Working in
one end) R 3-3+ (to p in chain on far side of CR#1) 3+ (to 3rd p of
small ring) 3. C&T. Work other 3 arms.

Top: For split plastic ornament. (For other tear drop shaped ornament,
design your own top to accommodate only 4 lacings)
R4-4-4-4. *Ch 4-4 R4+ (LPPR) 4-4-4. Continue around until 4 rings and
chains are formed. Join last chain into first ring, leave 14 thread
for lacing. Slip knot into center p of first chain. Lace from center p
of chain to each arm end. Two arms should cover the side seams.

Shamrock (stacked) shuttle and ball. Dont tuck in tail, you will use
ball thread to make stem.
R#1 R22^7+ (to p) 8^14. RW
R#2 R14^8^7+ (to last sm. P) 8-14. RW
R#3 R14+ (to last p of R#1) 8^7+ (to last sm p) 8^14. RW
R#4 R14+ (to last p of R#2) 8^7+ (to last sm p) 8^14. RW Fold in half
so 2 petals are together on top and bottom
R#5 R14+ (into p of both R#3 & #4 rings) 8^7+ (to last sm p) 8^14. Fold
this ring behind #2
R#6 R 14+ (into same p of #3&4) 8^7+ (to last sm p) 8^14.
R#7 R14+ (to last p of R#5) 8^7+ (to last sm p) 8-14.
R#8 R14+ (to last p of R#6) 8^7+ (to last sm p) 22. With shuttle &
ball, chain 40 stitches for stem. Tie a knot in the end and clip

Run clear filament (4 lb. fishing line works well) up thru base of
shamrock. Whip stitch, then continue up thru center. Hang in center of
tear drop shaped ornament or use epoxy type adhesive to suspend in
spilt ornament.
