Present Continuous - konstrukcja

TWIERDZENIE:
I + am + czasownik + ing
You/We/They + are + czasownik + ing
He/She/It + is + czasownik + ing 

PRZECZENIE:
I'm not + czasownik + ing
you/we/they aren't + czasownik + ing
he/she/it isn't + czasownik + ing

PYTANIE:
Am I + czasownik + ing
Are you/they/we + czasownik + ing
Is he/she/it + czasownik + ing

 

Zastosowanie:

• Czynność wykonywana w chwili, gdy o niej mówimy.

• He is working now.

• Czynność lub sytuacjia, która ulega zmianie, rozwija się, przechodzi z jednego stanu w drugi.

• Tom is getting old.

• The climate is getting warmer.

• Sytuacje tymczasowe.

• She goes to school by car but this week she is going on foot.

• Plany i ustalenia na przyszłość.

• Are you going to the disco on Monday?

• I'm going to Paris tommorow

• Irytujące lub dziwne nawyki. (Używane w sytuacji, gdy chcemy podkreślić, że coś nas denerwuje)

• He's always complaining about everything.

• Why are you always working? Can't we go out somewhere?

• I hate her. She is always swearing.
