My room
My own room is pretty big, around 15m2. I used to share it with my younger sister Karolina, but when my older brother Darek got married and left home she moved to his room and now I live here by myself. Sometimes Nuka, my little puppie accompanies me. I love my room, sometimes I call it The Sylwia's Kingdom :-). All of my walls are in yellowish colour and on a parquet floor I put a round-shaped cream woollen carpet.
When you enter my room, on the other side surely you notice a huge window shaded by a white net curtain. On the window sill in the opposite sides there two plants - a green prickly cactus and a little fern which I've just got from my friend two weeks ago. On the left side of that window in the corner there is a TV table with TV set on it and DVD player underneath. I love watching movies, especially now using that high quality electronic equipment with a great dolby stereo sound. I have a cabel tv access so apart from watching films I also love listening to music on MTV or VIVA Channel as well. Near the TV table there are furniture placed - one big wardrobe where I mostly keep my clothes such as coats, jackets, blouses, trousers etc. and two above 120 cm high drawers where all of my underwear is stored. On the top of one of that drawers in a neat wooden box I keep my jewelleries. I like that kind of trinkets so my collection is quite impressive. Over the drawers there is a huge mirror in front of which I spent lot's of time usually in the morning before leaving my lovely room.
After crossing a doorstep of my room on the right hand there is my lovely bed. It's very comfortable one, so usually after getting home and feeling tired I'm in a habit of jumping in and relaxing for awhile. Above my bed I decorate my wall with lots of pictures I took last summer during my vacation in Czech Republic. I had really good time there ,so while laying on the bed and looking up at them I recall that great moments from my summer trip. Close to my bed there is a large wooden armchair covered by soft sponge and black leather. I like sitting on it while reading interesting book or just studying for my lessons. In the right corner I put my brown desk with a computer on it. Close to the monitor on the right part of my desk I have a picture of my boyfriend Peter. While working on computer or searching on internet quite often I look at him and it makes me smiling and puts me in a good mood. Over the desk there are many bookshelves hung on the wall. Apart from my books and notes I also keep there some of my little treasures such as colourful rocks in sophisticated shapes and sea shells which I found on our Baltic Coast.
As I mentioned in the beginning I love my room. I do not treat it just as a place to sleep during a night, but I spent there most of my spare time after a my classes.
