1-Download last JVC Europe Map 2010 from these links
2-Download these 2 programs: “VolumeId” and “HD Clone Professional”
3-Create a folder in your C: hard disk named “HDClone Images” as in picture:
4-Decompress the map 2010 and put only the image file in the folder created in C:, the TXT file is useless for now…
5- Insert a 4GB HC SD Card into your car reader and format it with default setting. I suggest you SandDisk or Kingston cards.
6- Open HDclone 3.9.4 program from the exe file and click on “start program”, no need to install it!!
7- After you have open the program click as this figure “img-to-Drive” and click “next”
8- Click on C: and click over the image “nx7000_E2” then click “next”
9- Click over your SD card and click “next”
10- Leave this thing untouched and click another time to “next”
11- At this point is very important you click in “free adjustment” and with mouse you have to move the small light green bar to the left until it disappear, then click to “Apply adjustment”
12- Click start and confirm the copy, wait until it reaches 100%
13- At the end of the process the program ask you if you want made some automatic adjustments, accept this and click over “automatically”
14- Now the process ended and you can quit hdclone!
15- Control your SD card, now the files must appear like this:
16- Now you must go to the other program, “Volumeid” and copy the .exe file into the root of you hard disk C: , the same place where you created the HDclone folder, see this picture:
17- Now open CMD from windows start bar: you must write CMD here
18- A Black window will appear, now write “dir X:” where X is your SD letter assigned in computer resource, in my case was J. Look at the volume id string:6091-e59f, this string identify your SD volume card. We have to change it using Volumeid application!
19- Ok, now open the txt file you find in the map folder when decompressed it, the volume id we have to use is: 72AD-2013
20- Return in CMD black window and copy and paste this command
C:\volumeId.exe X: 72AD-2013
Remember to use your SD letter instead of X!!!
If you make all passages in correct way you must receive the message “Volume id for drive X: updated to 72ad-2013”
21- Finish!! You can close CMD and put your updated SD into jvc7000.
22- After you put the SD into the NX7000, the upgrade process will start! It's divided into two automatic passages:
1- The software update (about 5 minutes)
2- The upgrade of old map into the HD (About 30 minutes)
23- At the end of process you can verify the new software and map version in navigation info page. You must have this numbers:
Software… 1.3.6.0
Mapp…… 2.0.0.0
Voice ……. 2.0.0.0
24- (Optional)- If you want update your speedcams you can find the download link of the last version released by jvc (2010 December) in the first page of the thread. Simple decompress it and put these 3 files into Mapregions folder of your new SD. You will find them ready to manage in the USER menu of navigation…..
GOOD LUCK!
