Phlat

This magic trick is somewhere between a gag and magic effect. You can
use this when you get a call or whenever you need to phone someone and
have a crowd.

Your cell phone begins to ring. You tell your friends that the thing is so small you
keep losing it, so you keep it in your wallet.

As you explain this to your friends you reach into your back pocket and pull out
your wallet. You open your wallet and produce your phone.

Secret
Cell phones have gotten small, but we haven't reached the point yet where you
can safely stick one in your back wallet. So in order to create the illusion we have
to use a bit of subterfuge. Prior to reaching for your wallet, secretly palm your
phone into your right hand (figure 3).

Grab your wallet with your right hand and bring it in front of your body. As you do
this, take the wallet with your left hand (figure 1). Pretend to reach into your
wallet with your right hand and produce the phone that was hidden in your hand
(figure 5).
