Tower of Pisa / Torre di Pisa

I’ve designed this model on the train from Milano to Verbania for the CDO Convention Contest 2008.

Foil paper, at least 15 x 15 cm in size is recommended and will give a tower about 4 cm in height.

1. Waterbomb base.

2. Fold to the center and unfold.

Repeat on all flaps.

3. Precrease into eighths.

Repeat on all flaps.

4. Reverse fold in and out

on existing creases.

Repeat on all flaps.

5. Make the tower

three-dimensional.

6. Open and flatten the base.

7. Lean the tower to one side,

slightly adjusting the creases

at the base as necessary.

8. Shape the base with

mountain folds.

9. The finished Tower of Pisa.
