Fact

and Opinion

by: Rachael Parlett

How to Play:

1. There are a total of 24 cards. Pass out all cards to the students. If you have less

than 24 students, you will need to have some students take more than one card. Find
the student that has the “Start Here” card.

2. This student will only read out the “start Here” portion of his/her card to begin the

game.

3. The game continues as students listen for the card that precedes their own. For

example, if a student reads out “Who has an opinion about chocolate?” The student
who has the card that says “I have: Chocolate is the best kind of candy” would stand
up to read out their card. The game is complete when the final clue brings the game
full circle back to the beginning student with the final “Who has: an opinion about
diamond rings?” card. The student who started the game will then read their “I have:
Any girl would love a diamond ring for Valentine’s Day.”

4. Encourage students to pay close attention the whole game so that they don’t miss

their turn. The game should be quick! You may also choose to collect and
redistribute cards and play again for more practice.
