Size Preemie:
With H Hook and using buff yarn:
Make 2
Round 1: Ch 6. 2 SC in second ch from hook, sc in each of the next 2 chs,
hdc in next ch, 5 dc in last ch. Now working on the back side of the ch,
hdc in next ch, sc in each of the next 2 chs, 2 sc in the last ch. Sl St to first
sc.
Round 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in same st as the joining st, sc in each of the next 5 sts,
2 sc in each of the next 3 sts, sc in each of the next 5 sts, 2 sc in the last st.
Sl St to ch 1 at beginning of the round.
Round 3: Ch 1, sc in the back loop of the join sl st and in the back loops of
each st around.
Round 4: Ch 1, sc in the same st as the joining st, sc in each of the next 7
sts, sc dec over next 2 sts, sc in next st, sc dec over next 2 sts, sc in each
of next 7 sts. Sl St to ch 1 at beginning of round.
Round 5: Ch 1, sc in the same st as the joining st, sc in each of the next 6
sts, sc dec over next two sts, sc in next st, sc dec over next two sts, sc in
next 6 sts. Sl St to ch 1 at beginning of round.
Round 6: Ch 1, sc in same st as join, sc in each of next 5 sts, sc dec over
next two sts, sc in next, sc dec over next two sts, sc in next 5 sts. Sl St to ch
1 at beginning of round.
Round 7 – 11: Ch 2, hdc in next st and in each st around. Join with sl st.
Fasten off and weave in ends. Fold the down to make a cuff.
Ears:

With G hook and using buff yarn
Start with a magic ring. Ch 1, 6 sc inside ring. Pull yarn to tighten ring. Sl St
to join, Fasten off and leave a tail of yarn long enough to stitch the ear to
the bootie.
Stitch the ears on as shown below.
For the face, just stitch it on with the black yarn and yarn needle.
Size 0 – 3 Months:
With buff yarn and H hook
Make two.
Round 1: Ch 8, 2 sc in the 2
nd
st from hook. SC in each of the next 3 sts, hdc in the next
3 sts, 5 DC in last st. Now, working on the back side of the ch, hdc in the next 3 sts, sc
in the next 3 sts, 2 sc in the last st. Sl St to the first sc of this round.
Round 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in the same st as the join sl st, sc in each of the next 7 sts, 2 sc in
each of the next 4 sts, sc in each of the next 7 sts, 2 sc in last st. Sl St to the first sc of
this round.
Round 3: Ch 1, sc in each st around. Sl St to the first sc of this round.
Round 4: Ch 1 and working in the back loops only for this round, sc in each st around.
Sl St to the first sc of this round.
Round 5: Ch 1, sc in each of the next 9 sts, sc dec over the next 2 sts, sc in the next st,
sc dec over the next 2 sts, sc in the next st, sc dec over the next 2 sts, sc in remaining
sts. Sl St to first sc of this round.
Round 6: Ch 1, sc in each of the next 8 sts, sc dec over the next 2 sts, sc in the next st,
sec dec over the next 2 sts, sc in the remaining sts. Sl St to the first sc of this round.
Round 7: Ch 1, sc in each of the next 7 sts, sc dec over the next 2 sts, sc in the next st,
sec dec over the next 2 sts, sc in the remaining sts. Sl St to the first sc of this round.
Round 8 – 12: Ch 2, hdc in each st around, sl st to the first hdc of this round. On the
final round, fasten off and weave in ends. Fold down to form cuff.
