1. Determine the length of your inner
strand (strand A). (Mine is 18 in./46cm.) Add 6 in.
(15cm) and cut a piece of beading wire to that length.
Cut three more pieces (strands B, C, and D), each 2 in.
(5cm) longer than the previous strand.
2. Strand A: String two seed beads, a dark bicone,
two seed beads, a round crystal, two seed beads, a
light bicone, two seed beads, and a round crystal.
Repeat this pattern until the strand is within 1 in.
(2.5cm) of the desired length. Tape the ends.
Depending on the occasion and
your inclination, this multistrand
necklace can give you a variety of
options. Use similar colors and
materials on each strand and attach
clasps to all the ends. Then you can
easily add or remove strands or
twist them into a sparkling rope.

3. Strand B: String five seed beads, a light bicone, five
seed beads, a cube, five seed beads, a dark bicone,
five seed beads, and a cube. Repeat until beaded
section is 2 in. longer than strand A. Tape the ends.

4. Strand C: String 10 seed beads, dark bicone, 8mm
round, dark bicone, 10 seed beads, light bicone,
8mm round, and a light bicone. Repeat until beaded
section is 2 in. longer than strand B. Tape the ends.

6. On each end of strand D, string a
pattern of a light bicone, three seed
beads, a dark bicone, and a seed bead
until the strand is 2 in. longer than
strand C. Tape the ends.

7. To finish each strand, remove the
tape and string a 3mm round spacer, a
crimp bead, a spacer, and a lobster claw
clasp on each end. Go back through the
last beads strung and tighten the wires.
Check the fit, and add or remove beads
if necessary. Crimp the crimp beads
(Basic Techniques). Trim the excess wire.

8. To attach the strands to the main
clasp, simply hook the lobster claw
clasps to separate links of chain on the
toggle clasp.

1. String a dark bicone
crystal on a head pin and make a
wrapped loop (Basic Techniques).

2. Trim the head from a head pin and
make the first half of a wrapped loop
on one end. String a light bicone, a
disc, and a light bicone on the wire.
Make a wrapped loop above the beads.
Attach the dangle from step 1 to the
lower loop and complete the wraps.

3. Open the loop on an earring wire.
Attach the beaded unit. Close the
loop. Make a second earring to match
the first.

5. Strand D: Center an 8mm disc on the
wire. On each end, string a light bicone,
seed bead, round crystal, seed bead,
dark bicone, 4mm disc, dark bicone,
seed bead, round crystal, seed bead,
light bicone, and 8mm disc. Repeat six
