Blue and silver is one of Tamara’s favorite com-

binations, and putting them together

in this multilayer necklace was

a pleasure!

Step 1:

Cut 3" of 20-gauge wire. Place the round-nose pliers

about 1

1

2

" down the length of the wire to begin a

wrapped loop. Open the loop and string one half of the

clasp. Close and finish wrapping the loop. Form a loop

at the other end of the wire to attach the top loop of the

multistrand connector. Trim any excess wire and tuck

in the cut ends using chain-nose pliers. Repeat for the

other half of the clasp, connecting it to the top loop of

the second connector.

Step 2:

Use jump rings to connect each of the 20×16mm links

together, then attach each end of the connected links to

the inside loops of the multistrand connectors.

Step 3:

Use jump rings to connect two 15×5mm links, all the

15×10mm links, and two 15×5mm links. Attach each

end of the connected links to the outside loops of the

connectors and include the end links of the smaller chain

before closing the jump rings. The chain should be

slightly longer than the connected links.

Step 4:

Use the beading wire to string 1 crimp tube and 1 ron-

delle. Pass through the center loop of a connector and

back through the rondelle and tube. Use chain-nose pli-

ers to crimp the tube.

Step 5:

String 1 silver bead, 106 rondelles, 1 silver, 1 crimp

tube, 1 rondelle, and the center loop of the other con-

nector. Check the length of this strand—it should rest

between the two strands of links. Once you’re sure you

like the length, pass back through the rondelle and the

crimp tube. Use chain-nose pliers to crimp the tube.

Step 6:

Use jump rings to attach the larger chain to the mid-

dle loop of each connector.
