SUBJECT: HURTH TRANSMISSION PINION STAKE NUT
Reports of the pinion nut loosening has prompted the use of LocTite in addition to staking in order to
maintain the proper torque on the nut.
When servicing this area, the stake nut (ref. 1) should be sealed with LocTite 242 (Blue, Hyster part#
318702) and staked in place.
NOTE:
Follow sealant manufacturers instructions for preparation and application of the LocTite.
