I’m Jake, and last night I had to watch a programme on TV that was all about
recycling. Our teacher said we should watch it for our class project.
In the programme, a scientist was talking about how important it is to recycle
everything we can. He was very passionate about it all, and he clearly thought that
we don’t recycle enough.
For example, he said that some things, like carrier bags for example, aren’t recycled.
There’s the same problem with many plastic bottles. I found that surprising.
But he was pleased that a lot of garden waste is composted, and that some fl eeces
are made from plastic bottles.
In fact, the fl eece that I wear for school is made from recycled materials. No
wonder it smells funny!
