Shell Stitch Dog collar with Flower Appliqué' Crochet Pattern

Materials:
Tape measure :to measure your dogs neck
Hook-H
Yarn Needle to sew on appliqué
Yarn : Any worsted weight yarn
Button : 1/2 inch
Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Single (sc)
Slip stitch (sl st)
Double Crochet (dc)
Shell Stitch (sh st) - (2 dc, 1 ch, 1 dc)
R : 1 - Ch 6, 5 dc starting in the second ch from the hook, ch1 turn
R : 2 - 1 dc in each dc, ch 3, turn
R : 3 - 1 Sh st ( above, for how to st the shell st) in the center dc, skip the next dc, 1 dc in
the last st, ch 3 turn.
R : 4 - 1 sh st in the center st, skip the next st, 1 dc in the last st, ch 3 , turn.
R : 5 - 18 (or how long you need it to fit your dogs neck.) Repeat R : 4
The Shell Stitch forms a natural button hole, so there is no need to make one,
Just tie off and weave in your end.
Sew the button on the other end with matching yarn.
For Flower:
R : 1 - With first color, Ch 3, 8sc in the send ch from the hook, join
R : 2 - Chang to next color, ch 3,ch1, sc in the next sc, *ch1, sc in the next sc, repeat
from * 6 more times, for 8, join.
R : 3 - In each ch 1 space, (1 sc, 4 dc ,1sc) for 8 petals
R : 4 - ch 2, attach to the center back of the first petal with a sl st, repeat on the remaining
7 petal backs, join
R : 5 - In each ch 2 space, ( 1 sc 4 dc, 1sc) for the 8 back petals , tie off, weave in your
ends, and attach to collar by sewing with matching yarn.
