Flexor Digitorum Longus
Movie for broad-band (300kbps)
Patient position: prone with the knee
flexed to 90 degrees.
Apply the base of the tails to the
inferior aspect of the medial
malleolus.
Peel the Kinesio Tex from the paper
liner and place the tape temporarily
on the skin. Do not activate the glue
by rubbing.
Dorsiflex the ankle and extend the
2nd toe to increase tissue tension.
Apply the Kinesio Tex to the tip of the
second toe.
Apply the Kinesio Tex to the 3rd
through 5th toes in the same manner.
Once the tails have been applied,
continue ankle dorsiflexion and toe
extension to maintain tissue tension.
Apply the tape toward the posterior
aspect of the medial malleolus.

Extend the knee while maintaining
ankle dorsiflexion and toe extension.
Peel the Kinesio Tex from the paper
liner and place the tape temporarily
on the skin. Do not activate the glue
by rubbing.
Apply the tape along the medial tibial
border, ending in the proximal 1/3 of
the tibia.
